Dear___________,
Medical journals report that, during flight, blood coagulability increases hour by hour. And circulation slows down, especially in the lower legs. Blood clots form unnoticed. Later they can cause pain and swelling which often becomes chronic. If a clot travels to the lung it can cause pain, fainting and death. But all this can be avoided with simple exercises described at www.airhealth.org.
Usually the condition is mistaken for a strained muscle, even when the victim is a physician. And usually victims are misdiagnosed, aggravating the injury and increasing the risk of death. At Airhealth.org you will find two important tips for avoiding misdiagnosis. There is a wallet-size leaflet you can print out and take with you. Common misconceptions that could cost your life are listed. There are no strings, no advertising and no plea for contributions.
This is certainly the leading cause of death for endurance athletes and probably the second most frequent cause of death for people in the 20-45 age range. Never in history could so many lives be saved so easily. Won’t you please ask your family and friends to look at this and then send this message on to friends, family, co-workers, and editor of your newspaper.
Thank you.
