Vendors:

We do not accept advertising. The vendors listed here are helping to reduce the toll of ECS by distributing the Airhealth.org leaflet with their products. Some of these products can be very effective for some travelers and potentially harmful to others. Discuss your situation with a well-informed physician, if possible.

Compression stockings: Scientific studies have been very positive for compression stockings. (See Belcaro on our Research page.) No studies have raised any questions about the effectiveness of compression stockings, although they can be harmful for people with arterial insufficiency in the legs.

Compression stockings are not the same as support hose, which can be harmful for DVT. For DVT, you need graduated compression stockings, with greater compression at the ankles, and gradually less going up the calf.
